Laidig Systems, Inc. is actively interviewing candidates for a Heavy Mechanical Equipment Assembler. Laidig is looking for a positive, high energy, self-directed individual to join our growing team.

This is a first shift position.

JOB DESCRIPTION for Heavy Mechanical Equipment Assembler: Assemble heavy duty mechanical equipment including power transmission devises to print specifications via written and verbal instructions. We prefer candidates who have proven mechanical build / assembly experience and can show they are mechanically inclined, but we are also willing to train the right person. Building mechanical equipment will include the precise assembly and disassembly of these systems with precision hand tools and fixtures. Reading and understanding bills of material, work flow routings, work orders, and engineering drawings; you must be able to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions; computer logging of mechanical build through photographs and written procedures; modify components as specified by engineering; heavy lifting within OSHA guidelines; able to stand for extended periods; operation of overhead crane and miscellaneous hand tools; use of oxygen acetylene torch in cutting and heating of steel components.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION for Heavy Mechanical Equipment Assembler: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
